Freetown Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr OBE has implemented a broad range of policies to support the development of Freetown.

The Transform Freetown initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the people of Freetown, Sierra Leone.

 

Our mission is to provide monetary aide to to the Freetown City Council. In 2020 & 2021 we are focused on funding their Reforestation plans and the #FreetownTheTreeTown Campaign which is committed to planting of One Million trees by 2022.

  • Thirteen targeted catchment areas.

  • 56 reforestation areas that have been designated for tree planting R1 to R56 Plus 2 mangroves.

  • Yellow dots are seedling distribution centers.  Catchment areas have varying numbers of distribution centers and tree planting zones.  Some distribution centers will serve growers in adjacent Catchment areas
