Planting Trees in Grammar schools

Sapling.jpg

On August 20th, FCC and Rotary Club Sunset ended a month-long tree-planting exercise at the Sierra Leone Grammar School.

Four thousand (4,000) trees were planted across 295 schools including the Methodist Boys High School, Services Secondary School, Richard Allen High School and Sierra Leone Muslim Congress.

More than six (6) tree species, including Neem, Flame of the Forest and African Wattle trees were planted in these schools.

This student-led tree-planting exercise will contribute to FCC's #FreetownTheTreeTown campaign that aims to plant 1 million trees within the Freetown municipality!

Thank you Rotary Club of Freetown-Sunset for the support.
